I haven't had much feedback or interest in this lately, so i hope people have not lost interest as i have put loads of work in updating it lately!

Links have been removed, a far superior version will be up and running shortly :)

if the link does not work, its a fault with megaupload where sometimes the download button will not show!

Seems like a great idea for people who'll use it in the same way as you do, but I do an advanced search so infrequently that I wouldn't use it.

Also, some constructive criticism (albeit quite superficial), the icons at the top are way too big (even unnecessary) and the blue colours don't work well together.

All in all, nice work, but I wouldn't be surprised if google didn't allow such tools.

The icons are fine on mine, but thats likely because of the resolution im using, i could always allow the option of changing icon size.

The default blue theme still needs some work doing but thats not much of a priority, i thought it looked ok, but good to hear your comments non the less ;)

If this was a webpage it could be useful (there already some like this but not as comprehensive). I'd never use a standalone application.

its better then a webpage, i will include the ability to save searches, also maybe broaden the search capabilities outside of google, i.e yahoo, jeeves etc.

I let it run next to the clock in the bottom, one click and it opens up and i search what i need.

but then you may aswell use google.

find me a webpage that scan index and directories like mine does for specific file types, load multiple searches off the fly and more.

It's a good idea and a lot of effort's obviously gone into it, but I'd prefer it if it were a webpage too. Having a standalone application breaks the flow of what you're doing online, where a webpage could sit in your bookmarks bar/be your homepage/open up in a tab.

You could code a webpage with all those features, including saving searches. Other bonuses of it being a webpage are that it works on any OS and even on mobile phones, and that all your users always have the latest version, and can use it even if they're not on their own computer or have a work computer that they're not allowed to install stuff on.

Looks good, not sure how often I personally would use it but can see why you have developed it. As you say typing out long search strings everytime to narrow your search can get tedious.

One thing though, maybe I'm missing something... does it load the link/page externally using your browser.. or does it get embedded within your program?

One suggestion would be if you could have personal 'templates' and a massively cut down GUI.. so maybe you right click the taskbar icon and JUST the search bar appears above it and given the chosen tempate you then search for images of a given resolution/file type OR torrents for your given Linux distribution for example.

So I'm thinking as you say if you commonly search for 'photoshop brushes' or 'multi-monitor desktop wallpaper at a given resolution' you could have these saved as templates and then just replace the specified search string.

I hope I've made myself clear enough! hah.

This would be good, that way your searches can be targeted at a search criteria you acctually looking for instead of 1000000000000 pages
