Very good price for that size monitor, though the resolution is a little disappointing, but hence the price I suppose.

Has anyone at OcUK used this or it's 24" variant yet? I'd like to know your impressions.

This one seems to have better specs than the HannsG.

I've owned the HannsG 28 for 1 week then returned it cause the colours were rubbish.

Almost tempted to get this (or something similar) in advance of my better half's birthday in March... To replace my 9 years old Iiyama CRT that she uses (19" Vision Master Pro 451, the king of its day).

I'm using an 18 month old 24" Iiyama Prolite E2403WS, only thing I can fault on it is that I cannot get the HDMI input working from an 8800GTS 512 for love nor money. Picture is superb, along with the response time for driving sims and FPS (UT3).

I've read a number of different reports of it not powering up when going into sleep mode....have to reboot your PC, put me off slightly!
If anyone has one and finds this to not be the case shout up!

Currently thinking of the Hanns.G....

Used my E2403WS with a 8800GTS 512 for a year over HDMI before I upgraded to a GTX260. Worked great. I assumed you used the supplied DVI to HDMI cable as I have heard of DVI <> HDMI problems with some cables.

its only 26" though, i cant see any pixels up close on a 1080 22" so another 200,000+ pixels on a 26" sat a bit further back you arent going to gain or lose anything.

i mean put something detailed on your monitor, pick a detail and then see how far you can move back before your eyes cant see it ! not that far tbh.

also 1900x1200 is still a pretty damn fine resolution for gaming, if you are a gamer (i dont know if you are) you will need a ultra chunky pc to run on 2560x1600 ! and if thats the case then you may aswell get a 30" to really appreciate the extra resolution

Yep, used the supplied cable...

For whatever reason, the monitor isnt recognised as a monitor, when using HDMI. No native resolution, limited to a whopping 1024x768

I did (now i'm just waiting for you lot to deliver :p) simply because iiyama used to be the don back in the CRT days.

Honest opinion from anyone who has seen this thing in the flesh, is it sexy?

just had two of these arrived today will post a quick opinion of them later

anything anyone is particularly interested in?

Yes, response time/lag, colour reproduction (i.e. range, gradients) and black level. I'm sure it'll be bright enough.

Also, perhaps how well the resolution copes on a large screen - i.e. do you wish it were higher?

Thanks

Confirmed! It's happened twice to me now and I have to either manually power down everything (monitor and PC) and unplug everything from the wall for 5mins just to get the damn thing back to life!

Even unplugging the power from the monitor doesn't help! Not sure if there is some magical work-around, but now (as it has happened twice in the week that i've had it) I've had to mess around with my power-saving scheme in Win7 to not let the monitor sleep; I just have to remember to power-off the monitor if i'm going AFK for more than 30mins.
