Yes I have , I posted pictures of my mates one .

My car weighs in at 1150kg and 235bhp - Maths = 208bhp/ton

How many people here have driven an ATR ? How many know the spec on mine ?

Since when was anyone comparing your car to anything?

At the rate its going its going to have the full 321bhp of the M3 by the end of this thread.

Any advance on 212bhp?

No advance on the Accord side of things, but we can certainly knock the M3 figure down as the figure of 321BHP is wrong. The quoted power of an M3 Evo was 321PS, which is about 317BHP.

Sad and pedantic I know, but if you're doing it wrong, you're doing it wrong ;).

Almost every power figure published by every manufacturer in the last ten years is in PS :p

He was talking about all M3's bar the CSL model though, so I assume that includes the e46 at least, maybe even the e92 from the sounds of this joker lol.

Did you bin ALL the glass, or just the removable body panels and floorpan? Also, how much BHP was the electric supercharger worth, and the oven knob power resistor of justice?

Cars do over power, i know shocking it does happen. Oh and the weight being over 1.3ton was when the car was 5 up with a full tank of fuel and boot full of shopping so it is likely to be a lot lower in real world terms

Loving the way the BMW boys all jump into to save there precious cars that cost them so much lol

Who was the guy at the A272 run with the 330 ? Not compairing this to the M3 as thats would cause another arguement as the M3 is elite

Was he really though? From the looks of things it came across to me that he was implying that if you were to compare 'period' cars like fox did with the Mondeo, it would be closer suited to a E36 M3 (Not that I agree).

He could be right, my Honda's a big comfortable cruiser and it's running at 280bhp/ton

All I had to do to get that was lose all the bodywork, glass, 2 of the wheels and turn it in to a bike!

Or maybe it was a bike to start with, I get confused :p

Your car isn't an ordinary Type-R then, as they were not 235bhp.

According to you they have 197 so i dont know whether you would be someone to trust on a car you have never driven and seem to know nothing about.

No, and not that it was relevant in this thread as we never mentioned your car specifically.

However now you do mention it i'd gladly meet up with you and turn a few laps on any track of your choice. Name the date and track and I'll be there, I'll even film it and promise to upload if your quicker than me.

I'm interested to know how you've shed 200 kilos from the car, do you have a calibrated weighbridge printout or somesuch to proove this? Also interested to see any Dynos of your 15 BHP power increase.. what modifications did you do to achieve this?

Thats right, the reason we are all here is because we love BMW and are defending the brand to the death not because people saying 200bhp Accords can be compared to M3's are being silly.

I initially assumed it was the E36 but he's reffering to some Best Motoring video where a load of japs raced some cars. It was an E46 M3.

He said it would be silly to compare it to a CSL, which I assume means it wouldn't be silly to compare it to a normal E46 M3, plus as Fox mentions - he talked about the video above.

At least I've a genuine interest in cars of this type (Nobody can deny that saloons with bodykits and spoilers are not my favourite area of motoring) and have driven many similar cars. Whereas yourself? I don't wish to get into a tit for tat contest but being sniped at by somebody with a red Clio 1.2 is getting irritating. I can't remember why I never tried an Accord Type-R when I tried everything else in its class when I was picking cars a few years ago.

The figure was off the top of my head - I cannot be expected to remember exact poweroutputs for every car ever made. To only be 12bhp off on a car I apparently know 'nothing about' isnt bad, is it?

Sorry this will bring in the DC2 comment , the atr is also hand built and port and polished so bhp varies as im sure you all know this as you all know everything about the atr as most come in at 219

Fox , please find me a standard atr aswell as there not many about

For the record aswell Honda state weight for the are including 4 passengers , boot of suitecases etc and full tank of fuel . But you all knew that
