For the most part I like the update. As a casual player, with real life, kids, job, blahblah, I can't possibly dedicate the time needed to get decent gear. I'm in a casual guild, for those very reasons, but it means if ever I get a few hours free on a weekend I can't even pug a 10-man.
Wotlk helped, by making it easier to get semi-decent gear with emblems, and now the T9 Triumph emblems are being spammed around it's even easier. So within a week or two I can get my two main chars (Mage and Priest) a nice set of gear, and join a few 10 (or maybe 25) pugs without getting called a "noob" every five minutes.
I do understand that serious raiders may be slightly peeved, but tbh I pay the same sub for the game, and there will always be an extra level of experience these dedicated player will get.
For the most part the new lfg system is nice - matchmaking seems to work quite well. A few probs, as above, where ppl (myself included) were lf hc instances and get dropped in normal. I imagine they'll iron these bits out over the coming days.
