I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good set of levers for my Kawasaki ER-6f.
I'm finding the standard levers a bit of a stretch for my little hands ;)

So far I've had a Pazzo set recommended. Any thoughts?

Edit: Oh, and short or standard?

I know upgrades are always fun but dont they adjust so they are closer to the grips my Hondy ones do and its 24 year old lol

Edit just looked at the ones on the link mmm there nice lol

No direct recommendations for the er-6f, but as a general thought I found shortened levers much more comfortable, especially if you have smaller hands. I think they're generally better looking, too.

Kinda depends on how much you want to adjust them too, the Pazzo ones you liked are nice, but only have 5 levels of adjustment, where as the ASV ones I've got have around 100 levels, which some say is overkill, but I can change them to something I much prefer, and can change depending on how I'm riding. I've also got the stubbies, which I also much prefered over the full length levers. Plus, I love the look of my ASV stubbies :D.

A mate had CRG Roll-a-click levers on his Mille which were pretty trick but I'm liking the look of those ASV's. :)

Going by that roller I see in the pic, I take it they can be adjusted "on the fly" like the CRG's can be?.

Yeah, can be adjusted on the fly, really easially too. And like I said, has a range of 100 clicks, can be adjusted perfectly to fit, style, or gloves, or how your hands feel at the time, really good levers :).

I had Pazzo shorty's and loved them! brake took a few rides to get used too, but I find it weird going back to full length now!

But have not heard a bad thing against ASV unbreakables or CRG's

Oh yeah, forgot to add they're unbreakable lol. They will fold back on themselves if you bin it or drop it. And if they do break they'll replace them free of charge :D.

Most of the shorty's are basically unbreakable unless you damage the bike really hard, mine had been fine after a few low slides and because they are so short they dont go anywhere near the road, just the RnG bar ends do their job :p

Ooo yeah, those look nice :)

Do they come in a range of colours? :D

completely ignoring the point of the thread but have you tried adjusting them first?

no offence but an ER6 is unlikely to benefit from them in value and if anything it might put people off as an ER6 is more of a road bike than a hypersports bike like a gixer.

I suppose that's a point, but he could simply put them on the ER-6 for as long as he owns the bike, then when he fancies selling he could bung on the stock ones again.

As for benefiting him, it may simply be comfort rather than any more control over shifting or breaking etc.

Well, I just contacted a seller regarding the ASV's but they don't appear to do them for the ER-6f :(

I'm back to looking at the Pazzo's it seems...

one thing never get cheap levers, I had a cheap brake lever snap on TLR once, that is a scary scary thing... on the plus side I've never taken a roundabout so fast lol

Pazzos here .. Amazing quality and great feel (black short with gold adjusters ) Dont get coloured ones... there worth less when selling . Stick with classic colours so when u upgrade the bike and sell the levers you basically get yer money back . Get some randome funky colour and u have to wait till someone of similiar bad taste or coloured bike wants them .

Persil

Don't like the sound of that too much!! :p

Just went ahead and ordered a pair of the Pazzo's.
Black levers with a blue adjuster. Should match the bike quite well :)

Apparently the 2009 ER-6f has a different break lever to previous years
