EXPENSIVE != OVERPRICED.

Geddit? Good. It's like saying you can get a Kia Rio for £6k but an Audi A4 costs £26K and yet the Audi is "poverty spec" and only comes with a tape player.

The Audi isn't overpriced. It is expensive. The Kia is cheap.

Replace Audi with Apple and Kia with Acer and hopefully you get the point.

snow leopard runs fine even with 1.5gb of ram... Not with high-end apps, but with Renoise and Reason I have no issues.

If you want 4gb, spec it up!

There are similar phones that are cheaper, but I wanted an iPhone for specific reasons.

I find my iPhone utterly useless unless I've done something specific to it.


These are the "features" I'm talking about.

So yes, I do think iPhones are overpriced, but I like them.

No I'm not trolling. I don't get on here why people scream "troll" when some one says something they don't agree with ,especially since they're usually the first to moan about their rights of opinion or freedom being taken away.

I'm sorry that some of you can't see apple hardware being criticised, but I'm well within my rights to an opinion to think that their hardware is overpriced.

I'm sure there are phones with similar features, but as LordSplodge just said a Kia and an Audi have similar features but it doesn't put them on an even level.

And people will call you a troll if you come into a thread and start saying Apple products are overpriced with nothing to back up the claim. Especially when you say in your own posts that you bought an iPhone because there was no other phone with the features you wanted. So it can't be overpriced because there's nothing else to compare it with. It's just expensive.

OK... I didn't want to start a macs are generally overpriced thread ... honestly.

I was just pointing out that the MBP base specs are disappointing at that price point. I think the issue has been dealt with by the folk who are saying that it is due a revamp.

I don't think you quite get it, apple isn't compared to audi at all.

With macs, the difference you get is aesthetic. You can't directly compare them to cars, you really should know this.

By comparing it to an Audi, you're just trying to make apple hardware out to be something that it isn't.

You also need to appreciate opinion, Expensive to some people IS overpriced. It's not down to you to decide what it is or isn't, to others.

How can a company with possibly the best customer support service not care about their customers?

lots of companys have good customer support. i dont see whats so special about apples ?

anyway i didnt mean that. i meant they dont seem to care what the customers want or need. like bluray or the new intel chips. all the other big manufacturers have had them for a while now

Reliability, Support, Knowing that the OS is tailored to work with the hardware.

I paid £810 for my MBP, I see it as pretty good value - When trying to compare with the likes of Dells offerings, it isn't really that expensive until you consider screen size, which isn't that important to me, personally.

The other thing to consider is the residuals, MBPs hold their value very well much better than any "PC" ever will.
