What was your first car?

Stop being silly.

Tomorrow buy a modified car mag or two. Make yourself a bit pot of coffee, get yourself a pen, pad of paper and a phone. Then call every single insurance company in there. Play companies off with each other, haggle, etc.

No, Civics have never been great for insurance for some odd reason, but despite this it is only a 1.5 Hatchback with glued on tat. You should be able to get insured.

MK5 Polo Match. (1.4 8v with a huge 60bhp)

Loved that car so much.... guy who has it now has ruined it by crashing into about 20 kerbs :/

My first car was an Audi Coupe GT5, in a lovely light metallic green, complete with fuel leak :) Cost me £1995 and I sold it a month later for £1750.

Looked something like this

First car was a Rover 216S in gold of all colours!!. Cost me £2500 back in 1991. The old shape 216S, not any of the newer ones, looked like this :-

Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec! Had aircon, but manual windows. I loved that car. Would give anything to have another go in it!

2001 Ford Ka 1.3

Weapon...

Insurance was £2600 tpft for the 1st year.

Dropped to £1000 for 2nd year.

Loved it though, blew up the engine due to the whopping great 15" alloys rubbing through the radiator hose at full lock, no temp gauge so was oblivious until it went :( £500 for a new engine.

I had a 1.4 106 i got for free, had it just over a week then i bought a Civic esi and paid £1800+ for the insurance and the car only cost me £600!

Alfasud 1.3 bought it for £400 drove it all around Europe with accelerator mashed into the carpet, broke down in Italy (best place to break down if you have an Alfa) came back to blighty. Kept it for all of a year and sold it on a dark rainy night for £500. By that time the rust was so bad if you lifted the carpet up in the passenger side you could see the road. :D Think insurance cost the same as the car TPFT in those days

My first car was a 1992/J Ford Fiesta Ghia. It was grey and metallic burgundy, had a sunroof and leccy windows which was good for a 17year olds car at the time but I hated it. I felt far more at home in my 2nd car which was an 13 month old Astra SRi which I fell in love with, modded and kept for 7 years.
