how to get this effect ?

I presume this was shot with a DSLR but I do not know. However I love the effect (and the skyline R31 is awesome too). I just felt I had to show these pics. Sadly dont have a higher res version :(

The colours are slightly desaturated, lower the vibrancy and lead the colours more on the warm range + what Raymond Lin said.
 
You'll need a long lens with a pretty wide aperture, like a 70-200 f2.8 or 85mm f1.8. The processing looks like film effect stuff, slightly cross-processed and split toned.
 
Reminds me of this image which was in Ride BMX Magazine....looks pretty cool, love the purple vignette.
