Having played Quakeworld then Wolf:ET for more years than I care to count, I never even got around to trying this game when it originally came out.

I bought it.. £3.50 is a bargain

Get it!!!

You have to give it a good go though!!, DO NOT EXPECT TO KILL ANYONE FOR THE FIRST FEW HOURS, but stick with it!!!!

It is one of the best FPS shooters out and there are loads of people playing anytime of day. There are also a lot of new players joining all the time... I have been playing only a few weeks and I have improved enormously from when I started.

There are several mods out for the games which give it longevity and allow you to play without taking it too seriously which is good.

This game is better than COD MW BFG whatever whatever.... its just awesome if you get into it!!!

try the liberty clan server for some bullettime action!!! its a great server to start learning the game... and the german server [C=18], very welcoming and a good community of regs play there!!

5 stars imo... all the best!!! nubz!!!

You can shoot while jumping if that's what you mean, yes.

Although good luck hitting anything more than 2 feet away.

I'll give it a miss, flea shooters are what's really making me avoid MW2 lately

Like i said you can jump but you'll be very lucky if you hit anything.

Recoil/standing still/crouching actually mattes in these games.

Doesn't seem to matter in MW2, I just wish they'd remove jumping/shooting at the same time in these games, it bugs the hell out of me. I can do it myself, it's quite easy, but seems to detract from the game for me.

Counter strike is nothing like MW, and has never been like mw2.

I'm not saying it is, all i'm saying is that unless it's a purely arcade style shooter the likes of max payne, jumping and shooting together should be disabled

No...however there are servers with mods that when you kill a man you will get a health pack... but its purely a mod. You have to get used to killing fast and being stealth!!!

why?

in real life you're perfectly able to shoot while jumping.

although again good luck hitting something you aren't touching with the muzzle.

I've had it on good authority from a bunch of guys in various military roles that the leg/back injuries you'd sustain after landing while shooting an assault rifle in mid air would make sure you never did it more than once, handguns maybe possible without injury but you'd hit nothing.

Regardless as you say, good luck hitting something, although in MW2, guys are getting medium map size kills from jumping and shooting with an AR.
