What was your first car?

They must have raped you on insurance

The VTi is group 16.

My neighbour had one at a young age and paid some crazy amount on insurance.

Was in an EG6? They will always hold a special place in my heart.

MB6 and iirc he was in his 20's when he got it.

1.2 8v clio with 60bhp would have cost me £1800 for insurance (postcode related) as im 21

the 1.6 Civic i have now with 108bhp is setting me back £2100 on insurance (postcode related again)

i did quotes at my mates address and got the civic quote down to £1200 so £900 increase just because of where i live.

i wanted the car so i paid the money. as with all things.

B reg Nissan Cherry Special way back in 1988. Insurance cost me around £100 per month fully comp. Mind you i was in the Army in Germany and only 18.

friend of mine had a lime green chevette..it was awesome!*

*awesome being entirely relative to a 17 year old when having a car is a new experience and a privelige..not a right

my first car was a mini 1275gt and I loved it...my first car with my wife was a metro 1.1s and I actually enjoyed it!

As for my first in the US, I had a white Nissan mini pick up truck when I was 17. Top speed of 70mph and no air con in the middle of a desert.

As for my first car in the UK, I had a horrible green Honda Civic ESI = (on

So far, I've own 4 Hondas living in the UK.

My first car was an ancient kia of some description (I can't even remember what it was called!) which was entirely the uncoolest vehicle going but it was cheap, a 1.3 and close to indestructible.

My second car was a company Audi 2L turbo, which I wrote off within about 8 weeks - funny that. (I should point out that the actual accident was in no way my fault, amazingly really, as I'd had 4 or 5 close calls already).

First car was a Ford Ka which I was given for free from my Granny..... Great to learn to drive in but, well, it was a Ford Ka. So that was written off after 23hours of passing my test :P

Now driving a Civic Type R at 17 I **** you not :D

You drive a Civic Type R, aged 17, in Nothern Ireland (famed for its ridiculous insurance premiums) after writing a car off?

How much is your insurance?! If you cant avoid writing off a Ka how long is the Civic going to last :D
