I can see the hypocracy, yes we are telling people to buy like cowell.
But this is really simply fighting fire with fire.
Do you honestly think cowell likes the music he is peddling or is he essentially taking advantage of the musically disadvantaged people in the UK.
RATM are a good band and this is good music. Obviously music is a personal thing but ask any critic and it is superior.
We are trying the make the UK appreciate good music as oppsed to rubbish, perhaps because rubbish is all they here. I blame individuals for their poor taste in msuic mainly but if they have never been given the chance to listen to something better can you blame them?
Some people only hear music that is on TV or the Radio. Makes the mind boggle.
Does anyone know if RATM are getting any radio time yet?
They should do really.
Its all personal taste. There is no musical reason as to whay RATM's music is any better than the stuff performed on xfactor last night.
If you want to listen to music that is actually better 'musically' then you'v got to look outside of common popular culture.
I heard the song on 2 or 3 nights in a row on Zane Lowe's show.

Do you honestly think cowell likes the music he is peddling or is he essentially taking advantage of the musically disadvantaged people in the UK to make money, we simply like the song and get no money for this, if anything it costs us.

What?
Of course it's better, also much more talent as they wrote it and play all the music too.
What would you rather see live? A gay looking teenager singing a stupid song aimed at 12 year olds, or RATM rocking it out?
Cool, thanks.
This song was picked as it is seen as an anti pop culture piece, and people on the internet love to pick something different as a lot of them cling on to the hope they are different to the masses, in some bizarre way.
Oh, X Factors number 1, oh well. Failed. All you achieved was getting a dreadful song into the charts. Grats.
You may LIKE it more but explain to me musically how it is better? You can't as music is entirely subjective. If you want argue it from a technical viewpoint (Notes, harmony instrumentation e.t.c) then they are both on a par.
Also, I'd rather see neither live to be honest but I'm sure there are plenty of young teenage girls who would rather see the gay looking teenager anyway.
RATM wrote their own songs, had catchy lyrics, learnt to master their instruments, created a whole new style of music, put on amazing concerts and gathered their fans purely through their musical talent.
X-Factors winners gather their (very disloyal and short term) fan base through a tv program.
RATM are undoubtably the far superior musicians.
All you achieved was getting a dreadful song into the charts. 'grats.
Who says its dreadful, loved it the first time I heard it still do. We cant help you like junk music that someone else wrote.
Where are the real musicians these days, that can write music, play the instruments and sing "LIVE". Just look at all the people that have to mime at gigs.
Again, subjective. Many would argue that Joe has a better voice than the lead singer of RATM.
Don't get me wrong I think they are both as bad as each other and i would probably prefer to listen to RATM but to say that one is better than the other is purely to do with musical taste.
You know some places are charging 29p to download it.
I heard that to count as a single sale for the charts it had to cost 40p or more. If thats the case there are a lot of sales that wont count.
