Seems a bit daft to me GOTY should be cross platform imo and whys Fallout on again.

Fallout 3 Game of the year 'Game of the year Edition'

Can't see it selling somehow:confused:.

Boarderlands for me thought!
 
I would put Uncharted 2 among the best games of this decade. Could have easily played the whole thing again after finishing, if it wasn't for things like my uni work :p
The length of the game made a nice change from the usual this gen, such as COD and Halo 3 especially, and at no point did the game get boring. I found myself saying "just one more chapter" til the early hours of the morning, in fact on the first go me and my housemate played for 8 hours straight and didn't even finish it!

What???

BBC Sports personality is based on talent/achievement, apparel used is not a factor. Many of the major sports stars only wear certain brands because they have sponsorship deals so your analogy falls apart anyway because your given example does happen. However, it is entirely irrelevant and has no bearing on the decision, just as platform has no bearing on game of the year. I really can't see any logic in barring cross platform games from being considered for game of the year.

But anyway, Arkham Asylum gets my vote. I considered giving my vote to my favourite from the games that have a chance of winning, but decided to just go with the honest pick.

I just think it would be fairer if the people voting to have access to the games being voted for, be it Owning, renting, borrow, demo, pirated etc.

For me who doesn't own a PS3 anymore ,I can't really comment on a game that I can't play, get access to so where as Uncharted 2 could well be the best game this year, many people like myself will think well I aint voting for that and will inevitebly vote for something they've played, thus possibly hindering Uncharteds chances.

Ok so I see your point - how can someone vote accurately if they've not played all the games? (Though does that mean you're actually saying the vote should be limited only to cross platform games?). The problem still exists though, many people (including those owning all platforms) will still not have played all the games listed, which is why GOTY votes on places like here will always to a certain degree be a reflection on what games people have played.

It's not a 100% 'fair' vote, but nor would it be if all games were on a single platform, most people casting their vote will still end up picking from whichever games they happened to play.

Anyway, it's a bit of fun, stop trying to complicate things. :p
 
My favourites:
Batman-Haven't completed it yet though, so hasnt really kept me too hooked.
Modern warfare 2- I feel compelled to dislike this due to the amount of raving fanboys and the price it was launched at, although the single player was good fun for the few hours it lasted :p
Halo 3: ODST- Great OST, environment and firefights a barrel of laughs :p.

hey elfmeister i kinda hav similar system specs, mobo cpu, and hav a pretty good cpu cooler can you help me overclock, i m kinda new to it
 
Its quite clear anybody who has not voted for Uncharted 2 do not have a PS3 and so have no played the game. It is miles better than the rest on this list IMO.
 
Batman AA for me, excellent all round game which kept me hooked until the very end. Really looking forward to the sequel.
