Wii remotes - Official or not?

So I've ordered a Wii for the nugget(s) for Xmas, and want to get another controller.

Looking around 'official' ones seem to be about £25, but then there's loads of other which are a lot cheaper. I assume these are not official nintendo ones.

eg: Madcats seem to come up a lot.

Should I go 'official' or not?

I'll be getting a motion plus to put in it too...
 
I'd get the real deal if you're doing motionplus too. It'll definitely last longer, cheap and nasty is never worth it in the long run.
 
OK, chears...

Scary to think, I've just ordered a Wii, with Wii fit, a remote, nunchuck, wii play, wii sports and wii sports resort with a motion plus, delivered for £220. A single new remote, with a motion plus, is going to cost about 20% of that (eg: £40)... Wow!


Am I right in assuming most mutliplayer games don't need a nunchuck? ie: I'll be OK with just the one...
 
Erm, depends on the game, but a lot of the sports resort mini games (and some of the most fun ones) need a nunchuck for both controllers. Archery for example.
 
Wii play should come with a remote and nunchuck afaik, so you shouldn't need to get another, unless you're after 3 ofc :).

And yeah, I'd go official always :).

The bundle seems to imply just one controller?
* Wii Console in black
* 1 x Remote Controller in black
* 1 x Nunchuck in black
* Wii Sports
* Wii Sports Resort with MotionPlus
* Wii Fit Plus
* Wii Balance Board

note: Not Wii play - ooops!

Are you buying Wii Play seperatly? As it isn't in the bundle, it comes with either a remote or a remote+nunchuck iirc (I bought my Wii a long time ago, so can't remember :p).

Edit - Just had a look at a game shop, Wii Play should have the remote with it, but not the nunchuck unless you pay extra :).

Edit again - Just saw your edit, guess you do need a remote then :(

From what I can see Wii Play seems a bit of a five minute wonder? So put the £5-10 I'd save not getting it on another game...
 
Yeah it's pretty rubbish, i only got it as they were selling Wii Play for cheaper than the remote in my local games shop (A small local chain unfortunatly :(), so i got the remote and game for less than a remote, it was £23 for it iirc.
