COD:Modern Warfare 2 Moan Thread...

I told myself so. It was bought for me for fixing someone's laptop when I wouldn't accept payment.
To be honest, its nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. You should get it.
 
clippa disable UPnP if possible on your router... should never be host again - tho you might sometimes get kicked off when the silly backend gets its knickers in a twist because it decided you are the only host option - most times it will ignore you and move on.
 
1) cant pick what map you want
2) stupid overpowered killstreak rewards
3) unbalanced weapons (1887, Knife spam)
 
  1. Emptying a clip into someone who not only doesn't die, but reacts 3-seconds after you opened-fire and blows you away with one shot from that double-shotgun thing.
  2. Skillfully getting a run of kills only to get a noob-tube in the chest from some idiot who can't use a regular gun.
  3. Watching a death-cam replay which bears no relation to what actually happened on your screen.
 
I boycotted this for PC but bought it on Ps3 instead, just seems like a mod for COD4 tbh but hey!

1. The distance on the knife kill is way to long (knife imo is way to over powered SPAM!)
2. No hardware
3. Thermal image and heartbeat sensor is like having a hack!

End of the day this must be rubbish on the PC but is and always will be a console game so stop wasting your time on it and get ready for sum real PC FPS's due out!

3) People who moan about campers when camping is a perfectly valid tactic, and maybe they shouldn't be running around the map like headless chickens

= Player who can run around the map never stopping and knifing from distances that aren't humanly possible. If you add lag into the equation it makes it even more frustrating.

As for the question about akimbo shotguns on the PC, they are basically 1 hit kills from as far away as an Assault Rifle in some cases. Absolutely ridiculous on smaller maps and although they can be countered on the larger maps like Afghan, they are still pretty darn annoying. :(

Shame because there's a few little niggles like the above that ruin the games in which these things are abused. Otherwise I've been quite impressed with MW2 and it's an enjoyable game especially the multiplayer and the Spec Ops. Currently I'm trying to get 3 stars on all of the missions, it's harder than it sounds, especially if you haven't got any friends that are good at MW2. :o

Thankyou. I don't camp as in one spot all the map, but I don't move around a great deal unless it's a tiny map like rust. If I happen to kill the same person inthe same spot twice, I get camper spam all over the chat.

I also have a habit of calling in care packages and then just killing everyone who comes near to steal it, I get serious "camper rage" off other players, lol!
 
Even worse is when people accuse you of cheating when you're not, you're just having a good game.

So basically you cancelled out your original statement of boycotting it, upon buying it. You could have just bought it for the PC in that case. You're supporting the game either way.
 
1) crap hosts with 0 bandwidth
2) people moaning about akimbo (anything) inc shotguns - get to lvl 67 and use them yourself as you will, you will fail if you dont.
3) Trying to play with friends and having huge runs of fail to connects, failed to merge, failed to join host, timeout, failed to fail messages... sometimes takes 10 mins to find a game.
3a) That crappy field sniper map - and the way that everyone votes skip on pretty much everymap there is -
3b) snipers in general - all faggots
3c) People that dont shoot down UAVS and Aircraft but just allow themselves to be farmed like sheep ---- its so easy.

You're mistaken we aren't claiming a "higher moral ground"

We're just chuckling that we don't have a rage thread on the game we bought instead :)

Instead a lot of us have a giant thread full of win, a bunch of servers set up by link, and the ability to kick/ban hackers, choose our maps and even choose who we play with :D

My point was that the thread was clearly titled that it would be a moan thread yet you proceeded to enter the thread and moan about people moaning...

The official thread was for all aspects of discussion.
