Xbox Live Issue

Hi guys,

Got a puzzling Live problem. I was playing MW2 when the game went a bit crazy and I had unlimited ammo! Anyway, the game ended, I tried getting into another game and the game would crash and the message "you must be signed into Xbox Live to play this game"...I was.

I rebooted the 360 now it won't sign into live and displays the error " A problem occurred while signing in. Please try again. If the problem persists visit www.xbox.com/support"

My other 360 in the house is working fine.

Any ideas?!

Worried I've been banned for glitching or something, I didn't even know how I got unlimited ammo!

have you tried clearing the cache?

Ignore the unlimited ammo thing, that's a glitch going around at the moment. Not sure what's happened to your live connection though, what happens when you run a network test? what status codes/message does it give?

Doesn't give an error code, only that error message in my OP. Hmmm, it's very weird.

I've tried rebooting the router etc but I can only think It's my account due to the other 360 working?

Try signing into your account on the other 360?

I've put my HDD on the other 360 and it did log me into Live.

So it seems it's the actual console :confused:

Hmm. Sounds weird. Try cleanin the ethernet port?

Tried another wireless adaptor, not that I knew it would make any difference as it connects to my router fine.

Rang support, went through the usual generic BS diagnostics. He didn't know what's up with it and has escalated it to technical support.

Looks like the console is faulty if anything, will test my wifes hdd on my 360 for the real tester..

Right the other HDD works fine on mine (wifes live account)

So the console is ok to log into live..
