It demonstrates that even in today's morally and politically anaemic world, people are still willing to stand up and proactively send the message out that we are not happy with what certain individuals in positions of power are doing to our culture.

Just as long as they don't have to move from their chair, or pay more than £1.

I'd like RATM to beat Simon's wanna-be's, but it's not going to happen :(

The X-Factor song has been Number 1 on iTunes since the moment it was released.

:: EDIT :: - Interesting that RATM is now No1 on iTunes - wow!!

This is due to the way the charts work - it's not the actual standing. RATM is at least 10% ahead of Joe McboringwhatsitImavirginbutlikegirlsElderry

Currently number 1 on itunes, it's nice people are trying, lets face it if nothing else it's shown that there are a lot of people out there sick of the same recycled garbage that Cowell and cronies keep spewing.

LOL.. keep believing that. Awesome stuff. :)

We can confirm that sales of MP3s from Amazon.co.uk, including "The Climb" by Joe McElderry and "Killing in the Name" by Rage Against The Machine, count towards the Official UK Charts.

this is what Amazon themselves said though? So its all good? :D

Well personally I see this as the perfect opportunity to stick my finger up at X-Factor and the mainstream media, who together help to propel averagely talented nobodies to chart success year after year.

I don't think there could be a more fitting song for that purpose.

lol.

The evidence is from the Official Charts Company who say the retailer has to pay 40p. There is no evidence that Amazon subsidise that.

lol.

I also find it hard to believe that amazon are willing to take a hit of 11p per download when it is in their rights to change prices whenever they want.
