No sound from PC to TV

I have the following tV

and have just added a SFF Acer PC to the Bedroom setup.

I have got the PC connect to TV ok and the net etc but for some reason I cant get the sound working.

I have tried using the red/white spliiter and plugged that into the input section on the TV to no joy and then I noticed the TV has a PC/DVI Audio in, but having connected this (using a3.5mm jack to jack) I still have no joy in getting sound.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Does the PC have HDMI output? If so, that would be the best option.

PC has DVI and VGA - I am using VGA at mo but I do have DVI to HDMI cable but that needs to go ibut HDMI 1 and I cant get in to sort it now as missus has claimed the bedroom telly :mad:

Got it sorted - turned out for the DVI Audio to work with the telly the pc needs to be in HDMI slot 1
