Contolling PS3 from Laptop

As far as I know there is no way to control your PS3 from your PC. Why not just use the PC to play music instead of the PS3?

Indeed - for that reason (sure it only connects to my Amp via 3.5mm output) I got myself an Airport Express solely for AirTunes. I fire up iTunes and select the Express instead of my Mac and the music streams wirelessly to my Amp.

Genius piece of kit.

Cause my laptop has no media stored on it.

The windows home server is connected to PS3 Via Lan.

The PS3 then connects to av amp via HDMI

And presumably the Laptop is on the same network? Anyway, its not possible afaik, not other than just skip track pause etc. with the remote. Get a squeezebox?

i don't think so, maybe you could replace your AV amp with a DNLA capable one, that is what i do for music. otherwise you could try a HDMI splitter and link PS3 to a monitor that accepts HDMI (or DVI w/ HDMI converter). never tried it tbh, in theory sounds right and could save PJ bulb life
