Battlefield 1943 PRE-ORDER NOW

BF, MW2, L4D2 are all under this category and you don't think they compete?

Entertainment - Video Game - FPS - Key Multiplayer Component

Theres no way I'm gonna spend time on some budget game if I have bought either of the AAA releases..

if by FPS 'same catagory' yes, but to assume the game is not worthy simply because its classed as a 'budget' game then i dont agree.

gameplay is what counts first and foremost, single player content is of no concern for me as i buy purely for MP mayhem... L4D2 brings me nothing new (Borderlands will get my cash instead) and MW2 will probably be the same game with new clothes(not a bad thing).

BF1943 has 4 maps, it has destructable scenery, vehicles and tanks , artillery and best of all old school WWII dogfighting !!! 'ratatatatataaa ..

@ Thegoon84 : bring it on bud ! :p !

1943 doesn't feature large scale battles not in comparison to 1942. We'll have to say if they make the maps bigger in 43. Also should have included boats and subs.
Really all they needed to do was remake 42 in the frostbite engine, who would complain then.

1943 is intrim, but your going to be pleasantly suprised by BF3 ;)

This is an age old debate about FPS's in a whole.... if you want WAR simulation you go to OPF2, if you want infantry base game play you go to CSS/COD.......

If you want all of the above.... buy a battlefield game!

I'm mainly talking about the key component of the games. Multiplayer FPS and the hours people have to spend on such games. I don't see BF1943 getting a massive lot of headroom on peoples agendas.

so now theres only L4D2 to compete with ? seeing as Modern Warfare 2 on PC has NO DEDICATED SERVER SUPPORT (please be wrong, please be wrong) !!! suddenly 1943's future looks even brighter ;)

Apparently Dice made this game for a laugh and it turned out really successful hence the price. They used the frostbite engine and already technically had the map blue print so was pretty straight forward... and the price reflects that.

I literally didn't stop playing it on the ps3, i loved it... its just one of those feel good FPS games.... when you get board of shooting sum1… jump in a tank roll into town blow wholes in walls and trucks to sky's…. Or jump in a plane bomb towns flying by’s and go upside down under the bridge in wake hehe!

BF3 is under development here is a dice key figure slipping up
(SKIP TO 2.30min)

I have pre-order BF3 with "game". When bf3 comes out i am booking my ass off work for a week and playing the sadizzle outof it!

I have about 10+ games bought via their digital site, theres no limit on downloading and you can always back-up the files to avoid any future hassle. Most new titles have a pre-load option and are unlocked at 00:01 on the release date. Personally, ive found the download speed always faster than Steam!

the only time ive had a problem with buying from EA Store was Mass Effect, there was a small delay in it unlocking, but they did give me a £10 voucher for my troubles.

So is there a EA games frontend application you must run, like steam, or can you then just run it as if you had installed it from a disk without any extra gumph. I run all my games through steam through shortcuts, so would like to do that.

I think I'm gonna wait for it to come out on Steam aswell, as that way its easiest to hook up with friends.

not sure if this has been posted ;-
