I was talking to a customer in the shop i work in this morning, got on about this subject, all proud and with a big smile on his face he told me he had joined the facebook group, when i asked where he had bought the track from he told me he hadn't actually bought it! I told him to stop being a lame ass and get it bought! jeez, 29p to stand up against the Cowell machine! how on earth can that be a bad deal?
thats what most people who joined the facebook campaign are doing, if rage does happen to beat the x factor garbage you can bet they will want full credit for it as well.
if everyone who joined the campaign brought a download the numbers would be much better than they are now
4chan would get the track removed probably, too much people power I think.

Maybe not but it has raised a lot of peoples annoyance at X factor. I'm going to buy a copy of play tonight.

I could see 4chan doing the opposite to what we want though, buying the xfactor singles "for the lulz"
with pocket money and daddies credit card? not likely!
At the start it was no more than 3 purchases from a single place to mean 'bulk' purchase and I think that's what everyone has been following.
As for 4chan...let's hope they do internet as well as phone voting in next years X Factor and Jedward apply again.

I think they'd have trouble arguing about raw numbers simply buying the single, it'd be the douchebags that'd try and hack the various sites and case doubt on the true figures.

I'd still prefer having Journey at number 1. RATM isn't a universal christmasy song.
Me too, Rage have been one of my favourite bands for donkeys years and as much as Id like killing in the name to beat xfactor Journey would have been a better christmas no1.
