I have read a lot about o2 and how they restricting the bandwith of them but is there a way to get around this? I really dont want o2 broadband if i will only get *looks at utorrent* 4kb ps. I did have a good 750kb the other night but its been pretty pathetic since then!

Sky routers are good but you have to mess round with flashing them to unbranded firmware. You might as well just buy a decent Netgear, will set you back £40-£50 new, but they are well worth it. I use the DG834GT, which aren't sold by OCUK and I'm not about to link to competitors, but OCUK do sell this one, of which I ahve no personale xperience but it is still a Netgear DG834 series

It means you are not on an exchange o2 have their own equipment in - therefore you are on a product that uses BT's access and this is throttled. Though the exchange is shown as enabled - this may not yet be the case. You should only be paying around £12.50 a month or as I do £7.50 and £10 every 3 months on an o2 mobile card. Ring o2 and check out whats going on. Ring 0800 230 0202 - it's free
