TF2 : WAR Update (Solider vs Demoman)

People have been cheating I guess, setting up servers and friend killing all day

I have a feeling that the 'Scottish Resistance' is going to get on my nerves, where's the real downside to it?

I figured them announcing the demoman unlocks a day or two earlier was an incentive for some people to pull on their eye patch and practice some demo skills.

Scottish Resistance has a longer bomb priming time doesn't it, and you have to be aiming at the bombs you want to detonate so in most circumstances a demo will probably only be able to set off one bunch anyway!

Which part of it do you think will be annoying?

Saying that, still waiting for them to change the bonesaw so it gives the medic +25 health with each hit, and the needlegun to +1-3 uber charge

Nobody uses the old medic gear (besides the uber)

I would like the demoman to win

I'm guessing the other new unlocks might not be that great like another melee weapon, then again Valve will probably not disappoint and give then winner a super primary weapon.

Someone I was playing against earlier had nearly 3000 soldier kills

I doubt it, seeing as the splash damage is seriously reduced, will RJing even be possible?

hmm that's true. That would seriously dent the useability of the weapon though if rocket jumping would be reduced. It's hard enough to get the right height for some jumps as it is, so if it were the case, maybe it's not a good a weapon as it originally sounded.

A gap of 150,000 down to 14,000 in just one day? Even with the soldier gaining an extra 40,000 war points through the propaganda competition?

No, that should push the soldier further ahead .

Exactly. The Soldier kills only had 25k added to them. The Demoman kills (Soldier side) had 60k added.

The Soldier kills did seem to jump very suddenly!

Either way, if it stands as it is now, soldier will win!

Can't wait for this update Gonna be awesome!

With the winner of the propaganda contest being soldier, I assumed it would be all but over.

Bet valve doctored the results... it'll probably end up a tie .

seems logical tbh, they wouldnt spend time making a balanced weapon, just to throw it away...

They might have just made 1 weapon which can be used for either class though... like a proximity mine or something (rubbish example but you get the idea)
