Anyone had imports via UPS before?

I've got a parcel coming, and on the tracking it says

"PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE. WAITING FOR CLEARANCE "

I thought UPS pre-cleared packages? Does this mean it's going to sit in customs for days and days? :(

general translation is customs delay, usually caused by innaccurate descriptions on the item, ie weight, contents etc. however, we had such a notice of delay on an order yet it still turned up a day early...

they only really "pre-clear" from what ive seen in terms of you producing accurate customs invoices and shipping labels at time of shipment, thus there would be no need for any delays to be caused by customs...as much as those ***** love causing delays

4 days...i take it for 2 days they sat on their hands, from germany standard service should only be 2, no clearance since EU...delays should only occur if the item was marked as not in free circulation

I meant four (five actually it turns out) days since I ordered, it was shipped on the 15th.

Had some RAM delivered from the US before.

That status usually means the package needs extra payment to be released. UPS will pay this for you, and give you the bill upon delivery.

Doesn't add more than 12hrs to the processing though (took me 48hrs from ordering, although could be longer at this time of the year) :)

Unless I'm reading it wrong I like how your package apparently seems to be teleporting backwards and forwards from the UK to the US and vice versa (going by the timestamps).
