rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

its further back in the thread but amazon and the likes are subsidising the extra 10p or so for the charts.

Ahhh that's alright then!

I hope this wins, I really do, just to show that it can be done, it can be beaten!
We'll have to pick another song for next year, and advertise the campaign much earlier :p

Well, I'm up to three purchases of a track I already owned. Might get some more in later, having been paid yesterday!

Would love to see this all come together tomorrow. Would be extra brilliant if he somehow got held off number one next week too, but that might be too much to ask!

I'm still unsure what the result will be tbh, but it's been such a close battle and RATM has a good chance of clinching it. It would have been a tenner well spent.

No, you wouldn't.

£1000 @ 1/100 means you'd get £1,010 return.

£1000 at 100/1 however, means you'd get £101,000 return.

No it doesn't.

1/100 means there's a 1% chance they WON'T get number one. The return on that would be £10, you don't get bets like that.

100/1 means the bookies are giving them a 1% chance of getting it, and a return 100x what you put down.

£1000 at 100/1 would give a £100,000 return.

The 100 is the multiplier, the 1 is the money you put down.

Do you think it was his opinion to have?

No.
I've only been on the lower rungs of music for the last 39 years but no one has ever heard me **** off local rivals - it's unethical.
He should have just said something like 'It's not my type of music and I wish them luck but I will be disappointed if I miss out on the number one'.

He has been offered tons of money and opportunities on the condition that, for a while at least, he is a puppet.

I'd take the offer. Would you seriously not?

There's no excuse really, he should still be able to think for himself, regardless of the fact that he's got a contract.

He's got a dart board with Zack's picture on it. How pathetic is he?

He's obviously full of himself and assumes it's his right as a x-factor winner, to get the number one.

He thinks he's "deserving" of it by default because of the "hard work" he's put in to it.

This alone, to me, means he deserves to definitely not get it for being so full of himself.

Umm, that's what the other guy said too? He just included the return of the stake.

He shouldn't even be mentioning "if I miss out on number one" anyway, that implies he thinks he should get it by default to be honest.
