rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

I really hope it doesn't happen again next year, other wise xmas no.1 will become "which song does the internet choose this year"

Which really is against the principles of the original campaign.

Rather that than the garbage that the X factor churns out :)

I just wanna say

No matter how hard you try, you can't stop us now
No matter how hard you try, you can't stop us now

We're the renegades of this atomic age
This atomic age of renegades
Renegades of this atomic age
This atomic age of renegades

Well not really, I'd rather Cowell takes the number one the week before xmas and see if it has the guts to stay in the number one spot for more than the one week over competition from other artists. Who knows maybe Joe could have a shot at it?

Or he stops making Xfactor either would be fun.

That Joe forum amazes me...

"Thats the best comment Ive read on here. Britain has no Pride anymore. "

These people are so deluded, the thing is some of them aren't even teens! Some appear to be mid 40s which is some what disturbing

lol is it just me making the link between Joe supporters and the BNP?

Sheep follow blindly without question.

Most people who bought McElderberry's single would fit in this this category.

People who bought RATM had a choice to buy it, they were asked to.

However, I suspect this will go right over your head.

No need to make it personal now big man.

The people who bought Joe's single will have done because they liked it, not because someone told them to buy it en mass. You don't just walk into a shop and spend your money on something you don't like. It's testament to it's popularity that it still was number 2. The release each year comes just before Christmas, no accident but what does it matter?

I doubt this campaign or anything to do with it was even the slightest blip on their radar until today for most, so they won't have bought 10 copies just because they 'believe' in the x-factor.

Anyway, what's done is done.

Does anyone know how Simon Cowell won't benefit money wise from RATM selling a shed load of singles recently?

seperate music labels under the same company name?

why would cowell get any money directly from ratm sales if he has nothing to do with any other sony music label but his own?

indirectly im positive that joe sold more songs just because people were trying to make sure ratm didnt hit #1 (like the idiots on his forum saying they bought 4 copies)

Nobody cares about Joe, if another one of them won then he would never have been seen again. Similarly if it wasn't for X-Factor and he released this song I doubt it would have even entered into the charts. I didn't buy either single but I prefer that Rage won, their song is much, much, much better than a re-packaged and shamelessly re-released Disney song and that's what should count. X-Factor should at the very least be getting their acts to write their own song as their first single, not a cover :/

I'm so happy, this literally made my weekend. What a statement to society and the pop culture shoved down our throats.
