how long before we're all flying cars?

Computer guided cars, is in the relative future. A good thing.......yes and no. To us car nuts that want a V8 or turbo charged car with full control is fading away as time goes by and I hope in my lifetime it never happens.

But I fully think it will.

Hundreds of years. The risk of em crashing mid air or failing and smashing into a house seems too likely to me

You seemed to be making a sweeping generalisation that I doubt very much that you can substantiate, but feel free to try. The ignorance manifest in your terminology was just icing on the cake.

You seem very touchy about my response, which was not intended to be humorous in a deliberately inappropriate way, but was designed more to educate in terms that you could easily understand.

I still fail to undestand why you respond with something like you did to start with. It was un-necesary. Cars follow the road, they can only steer by human control left/right and forward/back. if they go up a hill they go up one but its not flying up and down. A car on a road cannot crash with something above or below it.

There was nothing wrong with my terminology. You're trying to pick a fight, the other person below you understood what I was saying perfectly and it was correct. maybe rephrasing to specify moving "freely" along 3 axis as aposed to being limited to following the floor might have been better but I dont see why it is necessary to be that specific. Its a forum discussing a point casually not typing up a legal document.
