Just a little update. Can the unthinkable happen and stoke city win the premiership?

This is the 3rd season and my team has suprised me a lot! Kerz scored 22 goals so far and defredrico has 19.

First season update with Sheffield Wednesday, was all going well until the last 10 or so games, lost most of those and had some really bad form.

Decent first season, was pleased with the form of players more then my position.

Getting my tactics right and playing to my strengths was what I did well this season.

Good fun trying to get a team like that up.

Beat portsmouth in the fa cup 3rd round!

Not sure what to do in the championship though, didnt lose at all last season, lost a few already now :(, still 3rd though.
 
Bought myself this yesterday after not playing a FM game in a couple of years. Quite scary how many hours I've clocked up already :eek:
So very glad I didn't buy this when I had loads of work left to do, it would have wrecked my motivation :D

Only going the easy route so far with Man Utd while I get used to the various changes since 08, then I'll try out masterminding Swansea.

Tiny thing but glad to see I can finally be a female manager :p

Questions:
Should I keep Nani?
Should I sign another winger?
Should I sign Juan Manuel Vargas OR
Should I sign Mirko Vucinic OR
Should I sign Ashley Young?

With Vargas/Vucinic/Young I would get one of them if I kept Nani and two of them if I sold Nani off. Don't really care about having English players. I think Young is quite a good player and it helps that he's English. Vucinic is better, eventually, than Vargas but Vargas can be had for much cheaper than Vucinic (£18.5m for Vargas signed and Roma want £28m for Vucinic)

I also sign Dzeko so that's about £22-23m gone.

Has anybody ever had a board ultimatum be sucessful? I've taken Melfi to Serie A - in about 7 seasons, I've wheeled and dealed all the way, the club is in a decent financial position as the chairman constantly sells half my squad... and I've still got 4100 all seater stadium. Argh.

Nani was world class for me in Season 2, scored about 15 goals and loads of assists. Season 1 and 3 he was quite dire. So i dno really. I brought in Juan Mata and he wasnt even that good on the left O_o

You should play Obertan when you can hes a little beauty.

Either way you need a good winger incase of injuries!
 
I kept Nani but have sent him out on loan for the last 3 seasons (twice to Villa, now at Spurs) Maybe eventually he will get good enough but I might just end up selling him after this season if he doesn't.

Anyway, he'd have a hard time getting into this team :cool:

I've only played 2 matches with it so far (won 3-2 at L'Arse and 2-0 at Boro). It's just for fun though, I'll let it run for a couple more games like this and then probably change one of the strikers for a DM.
