James May's Toy Stories - LEGO

It was brilliant :)

Although as with all these things, they feel far too short. It seemed to jump to completion very suddenly and they never talked about the roof or the interior much, or what happened after it was done.

And that party at the end with all the people who helped in the other ones...why did beeb change the order of the programme? This was clearly meant to be the last one :confused:
 
I was thinking the same thing! How come this wasnt wasnt the last programme? I also heard the lego cat was stolen by somebody and also had to tear the whole building down after failing to sell it but they never mentioned any of it.
 
I am the only person who actually found this a tad boring. It seemed to drag a bit and the women incharge of 'interior design' was doing my nut in.
 
Yeah they looked into moving it but would cost thousands. Coincidently I live near Dorking, used to see this on the train every morning :) Great to see it up close finally!
 
Was a good watch! The end result was pretty amazing, but slightly disappointing that the whole lego building had to be built around and supported by a wooden frame.

The only thing that bothered me about this one was the interior designer was a complete prat! **** knows why they took her on. Not only was she stupid and patronising, but also a waste of space false person, pretending to be all emotional, **** off.

I am looking forward to the last Toy Stories, my favourite: Model train set! :p

It is odd how the programs are so staggered between each other.

Before watching the programme I didn't know the house had 2 floors, quite impressive! But the whole 2nd floor was supported by the wooden structure.

It all goes back to the problems of building a solid beam out of LEGO which they kept failing at, and even at the end they still didn't want to risk placing a person on them supporting LEGO beams without safety measures.. which is fair! ;)

They also skipped the detail about how exactly the stairs were built, can only come to the conclusion that it was also supported by the wooden structure.

Is still impressive what they achieved but hmm less so impressive!

havewnt watched it yet but you could easily do staira just the spaxce under the stairs would have to be filled with lego lol
 
Awesome program that was :).

The interior designer got on my nerves though really patronising.

Its a shame that they had to tear it down as it really was one of its kind, which considering that fact im surprised no art folks/establishments did buy it. Im sure it could have been dismanteled into sections easily enough, it is lego afterall.
 
Lego land was going to buy this but as said was too expensive. They were not happy with may going ahead with doing this without their help and would have wanted them to buid it at lego land to make a feature of it. im sure lego land could do this all over again if they wanted.
