I should wash the car as well but thats not so important

the amount of salt and spray is ridiculous. snow + motorways = utter filth
it was (almost) spotless on wednesday

About 9-10c Here and been having some junglist-massive rain for the past week, no intention of cleaning anything at the moment

You generally wash a car to enjoy it looking clean for weeks or days, it gives you a period of time when it looks nice.

If you wash it in this weather it will be absolutely filthy the next time you go out in it. So you spend a few hours washing it to see it nice for all of a couple of hours before you make it filthy again.

I have to lol at people washing their cars in this weather. All the hard work should be done in autumn.

According to some of the people up my road I'm a bit of a mentalist for cleaning my car when it is less than 10'C let alone sub zero.

I also love the "It will only get dirty again" comments they sometimes come out with. Jee really? I might as well not bother having a shower then. Hoover the carpets?! Why bother?... :rolleyes:

I washed mine today, looks the business since it has not rained today and I don't have work over the xmas period either so will sit there looking nice through to the new year

I agree but it does put on protection that it may not have had.

Washed mine today - it had 2.5 months of bird crap on it (from being parked up when I was on a business trip) so really, really needed doing.

Chucked a load of sand and grit on the drive too, fortunate I did that as it's snowing here now.

Cleaned mine last weekend for the first time in 3 months. Have not been out in it since as I want to enjoy it clean for at least 5 mins

Lovely car mate - the Clio Williams has aged very well imo, still looks great.

Mine is desperate for a wash but it has been stupidly cold 'oop north past couple of days.
