rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

I thought this was a thread about Rage Against the X Factor, not international gun laws?

Back on topic, I would have loved to have seen simons face when he found out Joe Dangleberry was number 2 :D How fitting methinks

But in removing the Taliban we did change their laws by removing their very extreme version of Sharia law to be more stable and fair and remove the gruesome aspect without the public executions and the like.

New government will mean new laws, just like in May when we get a new government laws will change. We did not go in there to change criminal laws. Unlike trying to force America to change gun laws. As I said the two can not be compared to each other.

Majority of MP3s are 70p. i.e. 10 random songs = £7. Hardly cheap. Cheaper than buying an album for one song, yes, but not cheap.

A lot of old albums are under £5, things like sky songs is 7.99 a month for 15 downloads and unlimited streaming. Just liek buying dvd's blue rays you ahve to look around, there is always someone with a great deal on. I would hardly call 70p expensive either.

Woo hoo! Been living under a MW2 rock all weekend, just heard the news!

I wonder if this will make Cowell reconsider the release timing for next years X-factor single.

Didn't Joe's single sell more than Alexandra's did last year.

I think Simon's laughing all the way to the bank. What will Joe get probably 1p per record or perhaps he's on a weekly salary.

The amount of people who have changed their facebook status about this is unbelievable.

Both sides of the fence.. I've seen equal amounts of people unhappy that Rage are No 1 :D

I believe Danza promised to eat poo if this happened.....

I think she sold around 600k and the no.2 which was Jeff Buckley internet campaign wasn't even half way to reaching her sales.

500k for RATM followed by Joe at 450k.

Also, how the chuff have people got arguing about Afghanistan in this thread? Sort it out! This is celebration time! Merry Xmas ;)

They are expensive though.

yup, digital content providers are just greedy. they're just preying on the "WANT IT NOW" generation. how come i can have a cd delivered to my door for the same price? sure, providing digital content has overheads but it must pale into insignificance compared to the cost of the materials involved making a cd and all the people's hands it passes through on the way from the cd factory to my doorstep.

I have mixed feeling about this.

In principle the idea is excellent, however the timing is terrible. The Jo guy seems really sound and can sing absurdly well and out of all the x factor winners would be my personal preference for a long career.

Ho hum.

What has nice guy got anything to do with it.
Absurdly well? that climb cover sucks. It is dreadful singing. As I said I have not watched x-factor. So he might be a good singer and that was simply the wrong song for him. But to say he sung the Climb well

If he released that he wouldn't of had a chance of getting number1 without teh x-factor campaign.

Maybe the guy is ok, but the song was bloody terrible and never deserves to get a number 1.

The test for him is is he actually good enough to now go and release something else and keep trying. If he is then I don't know what you are worried about, if he doesn't then it really enforces the point.

The last time I said "I'll eat my poo if....", I was wrong, and had to eat my poo.

So, if RATM actually get to no.1, I'll eat my poo. It's never going to happen.

Live webcam will be required please. You should be allowed to choose your poo though, i dont think its fair if you squeeze out some gravy. I would suggest a good solid log, though you know what you like seeing as you've done it before :)
