Camping and you

Camping doesn't bother me, And I am one of those guys who runs round like a loony, I sometimes get a little annoyed at campers who sit on top of the stairs of the middle building on derail with dual 1887s but I usually get them back after the 2nd time I die, And it seems that this is the only map that it happens a lot on

People just get annoyed because it's a strategy that works.
What choice do you have if you're on a sniper rifle?
Camping at spawn points though... Ugh.
 
It's only an issue if you're doing it to get easy kills rather then helping with objectives in certain game types, or abusing dodgy respawns in certain games.
 
On CoD4 and MW2 I literally run around like its Quake III Arena constantly sprinting around the entire map taking people out, I don't know why. I always have most kills.

On games like CS and BF2 I hang back more, I dunno why I am such a lunatic in MW.

Do you have the most deaths too though ?

Ive seen people who think they did great on TDM by having 20 odd kills, thing is they will have 20 deaths too. Other people may have only 10 kills but only died once.

Who contributed most to the team...

Anybody remember the Unreal Tournament CTF map with the two Gigantic towers?

Perfect camping spot for racking up those M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-M-Monster Kills :D

Exactly - Ossama is the biggest camper of all. I vote Shamikebab to go tell him niely to run round a bit so we can nail him!

As for camping - if it's to hold an objective or rally the troops it's good for me. Players that spawn r*** deserve a long walk off a short peir.

Play with or agains clans and they stick together as a team and hold or move forward as you would in any combat situation, although there's less risk to your health unless you're rubbish and need to blame something... IE camping.

I love killcam just for the people who literally do not move. Kill me once and don't move... too bad my friend. I only play on the PC though.
 
I'd only see it as camping if it's literally hiding in a dark corner all game.

I don't really mind campers too much, just easy to flank them as they're predictable. If that doesn't work, out comes the smoke grenades and shotguns (EDIT: by shotguns I mean SPAS12's of course)! Hell, most camping spots can be sorted in MW2 with a machine gun spraying through walls :D

Yet you have the yanks screaming "OMG, the campers!?!?!?!" every flippin' game... THAT is irritating.

Cant see why every-one complains about it, campers are weak, granted they may get one kill off me, but then you can be sure theyll be in the same place waiting for me to add an addition to my score board, their easy points if you ask me.

Doesn't matter if it's a legitimate tactic or not. Those who shout "OMG CAMPERS!2121"!"!"!1!!"!" are exactly the same type of people who will launch their controller across the room in a rage. It's just something to shout in frustration.

Any one who calls me a camper, I just laugh at them! :)
 
If I can camp and the enemy comes to me why bother going to them?

The only kind of camping that gets on my nerves is when their entire team are snipers and they only care about getting kills when it's an objective based game, thankfully this rarely happens and when it does I'll quit because I'm not going to be used for target practice while they rack up kill streaks.

Individual campers don't bother me so much, since it's much easier to avoid them instead of running back to the same spot over and over just to die again.

Yeah, but you do it in domination, going for kill streaks and actively avoiding flags :p

I don't remember the last time you captured any flags except the one you spawn near.

What is the point in attempting to get them just to die because nobody helps out? Yes I won't capture them if their team is sat there waiting for someone to go for it just so they can get an easy kill, but if my team is nearby and actually attempting to get it I will help them. On certain maps I will hang around a certain area killing anyone who tries to get close to the flag, isn't that the point of domination? Defending your own flags as well as capturing theirs? If I don't defend it the enemy always comes and takes it because none of the others can be bothered to turn around and kill them.

I've seen it all too much on maps such as Wasteland where it will say losing C and 3 of my team are running AWAY from C just to run down the tunnel to die for the 14th time.

Some people get way too annoyed at "campers". If you know where they're camping, kill them before they kill you!
