Strange supermarket refund

Just went to Tesco and bought:

Amaretto £10
Monty Python 15 dvd edition £35
Cheese sandwich £1
Pasta pot £1.20

After 10% staff discount and several £1 staff xmas vouchers it comes to £33.48

I get home and the dvd boxset I got for my dad has already been bought by brother already, so I take it back and they refund the full £35 for the dvd, saying 'It is the only way we can refund it'.

So I got paid £1.52 and got a free sandwich, pasta and bottle of Amaretto.

EDIT: **** I put it in general hardware, can a mod put in GD please.

Im not sure if the pasta pot will be good enough to hold the ameretto when overclocking the sandwich to 5ghz+

Try 4.5ghz first and increase the speed slowly.

£47.20 - £4.72 = £42.48. I assume you then had 9 vouchers to bring you down by £9 to £33.48. Return the DVD for £35 and you are given £1.52.

You made £3.50 only, that being the 10% on the DVD that they couldn't account for. You still paid with your vouchers.

I was going to say this but you saved me the bother. I don't understand some people who tell me things like "I got an XBOX from *** that was supposed to be £120 but i had £90 gift vouchers so it only cost me £30!"
