I was going to post a thread about this a few days ago actually. Not because of the intellectual property issues, that's obviously OllyM's concern - my problem with them is signatures are how I recognise a lot of posters, especially the regulars. Fox is silver E39 on the right, OllyM is silver E39 on the left.

A load of other signatures that are, at a glance, very similar to other users' is a bit annoying

I find the opposite. Not that it really matters what anyone thinks, it's only a sig...

Its not about what I think of the signatures, thats fairly irrelevant, but when I'm reading threads I find certain posters stand out by their signature. That might just be me, but it was getting a bit silly

I'm with Iain. At a glance, it's easy to tell who posted what. I like signatures, they're unique, and allow people a little bit of creativity. It's also nice on a car forum for them to be car-centric.

I'm asking nicely as I think it's gone on for long enough now and I appreciate peterattheboro removing his without complaining, so thanks :)

Always wondered whats with all the same bmw sigs lately. I bet they'll be more soon. Just hope they wonr become standard issue like the godfathers.
