My brother has given me a load of jpg files to put on a digital photo frame for xmas however the files are not in true jpg format. Is there a quick way i can resolve this. Quick renamer perhaps without editiing each photo ... almost 500!

DOS?

Pop open a DOS shell, navigate to the folder and do:

ren *.<image type> *.JPG

Assuming they're actually JPEGs - if they're not (RAW or whatever) then you'll have to convert them into JPEGs - you'll need some software for that.

GIMP can also batch convert images for free.

OK Gimp works i can now do one file at a time. Any one know how to do it as a batch? Image must also include thumbnail

A jpeg is a jpeg, thumbnail is embedded anyway.
