Hi guys/girls

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas :)

Im looking for some feedback on your experiencies or knowledge with my problem.

My problem is I purchased a product from OCUK just over 1 week ago, and since then, the hardware has gone faulty. To top off my good luck of late, the product is now out of stock, and going by the model of it, the stock wont be replenished. Here is where I ask for your experiencies of this same issue (hoping there is people out there who's been in this scenario) or knowledge of what steps would be taken for me, ie, would it be repaired, replaced, sent to the manufacturer.

Thanks in advance
Greig

Normally sent to the manufacturer, who send a refurbished item back to OcUK to send on to you. That is ofcourse after they test it - which they dont do if there is any damage to the item.

thanks for the fast reply.

Would you know off hand if the the refurb would still be covered under the 1year waranty

I forgot to mention, Im talking about a Logitech G25.

Also, has anyone had any dealing good or bad with Logitech returns?

Give logitech a call thats what i did with my g9 and they sent me new one within a week (the g9x) and i just got the g25 on xmas day and loveing it!.

Had to replace my MX5 mouse, within a few days had a new one :)

Try the customer forum below and see what Overclockers say.

Took 6 days from asking for a new wheel under warranty for the Logitech G25 (the shifter broke) so they replaced the full wheel, that was with Logitech.

You have to do it through Overclockers as you need to have owned it for over a year if I remember correctly.

How exactly did it brake out of interest?

It was actually the acceleration pedal. The "resistance" that the G25 gives you on the pedels just disapeared on it. Wasnt a pop/crack/snap noise, just using it then it went all soft on me. ( sounds like something my gf would tell her freinds :| )

As OCUK dont have them in stock, I did phone Logitech this morning who said they will provide me a replacement so all is good. Let just hope it doesnt take a lifetime.

All going well so far.

Can only speak for mice, but logitech will tend to send out replacements pretty quickly. Most of the time they don't even ask for the old stuff back. I've got to the stage now where I contact the manufacturer first before the retailer for RMA's as you tend to get a slightly quicker service.

well spoken to Logitech who are doing a swap out within 5-10 working days (kinda gutted that its coming up for newyear, typical) but they were saying that its coming in from oversea's as I was going to call the courier to get next day delivery. But so far can only praise tech support.

I particularly like the fact that they will do a swap out rather than the return to base, check then send out new one. It at least lets me use the wheel till then.
