COD: World at War Question

i recently got into modern warfare 2 online and i feel like playing a ww2 era game, how does waw compare to mw2 in multiplayer? :confused:

i only really play team deathmatch so i just want to know what the maps are like, how many of them there are and if a lot of people still play it on ps3

I was on Xbox on COD WAW recently and there was still a good few ten thousand players online at least. Still quite a popular game I think. Also the same engine near enough as MW2.

If you have no skill at all then buy WaW indeedy. The game is even more spray and pray then mw. You aim in the general direction and hold down the trigger till they die. Thats it. Everyone uses the same gun because its effective at spraying at all ranges.

Disagree. I found WAW much harder to kill as the guns sprayed everywhere. It took much more skill IMO.

Well i only played it for 2 days. Every time i died it was someone who never once took their finger off the trigger while charging at me. I don't call that even remote skill. People almost always seem to use an entire clip killing people on it when i played. It's possible it changed, though i can't really think of a reason why.

Great multiplayer on it imo, maps are massive compared with Modern Warfare's cramped ones

either im really good at the game or the people who i have played with are crap

Yet on MW2 you're able to run around with shotguns with ridiculous range, stabbing people from silly distances and get massive scores from the killstreak perks.

At least people were forced to use guns in WAW rather than this silly, unbalanced setup of MW2. Besides, most who played COD4, MW2 played WAW so I hardly think unskilled players played it.

Playing the other cod's doesn't mean anything. That's like saying mario kart takes skill becuase forza 3 players play it. The kill streaks are dumb on all the cod games. Why give the other team and even bigger reason for why they are destroying one side due to the teams not being balanced? Kill steak bonus's should only be in FFA. Your also presuming that i think MW2 and COD4 players are skilled

. Cod games went down hill so badly since cod2, all they are is incoherent spray fests full of children. I don't doubt its 10x more fun playing with adults. But there is no need for team gameplay in a game like that. Just run and spray.

Anyway this is starting to get too troll like. Ive said my view on cod and would appear that maybe the OP is finding the same.

I relise the way i said that was that anyone who plays cod since cod 2 has no skill. Let me point out my mario kart example. The games simply require little skill and thus you can be a highly skilled player and do little better then others due to how the game works and im told mw2 even rewards the underdogs ( i only played mw2 round friends). Fact of the matter is, imo if your good at fps you'd rather play a game that rewards you for being better then others at for example hitting head shots. Rather then them being able to just spray at your body and drop you anyway. Or spray at your head because of the lack of recoil for that matter.
