stereo?

are they any stereos that will work(limited) without the fascia. Basically something that will play what ever it was doing last with an off button. If it had a memory card with mp3 support even better otherwise a aux for a phono jack.

Wouldn't have thought so as the fascia is supposed to be a security function isn't it?

yep, but without the rest of the controls it's still useless.
I doubt there is but it's worth asking.

Think my friends sony headunit will play the cd without the fascia on but you have to hold down a little button on the headunit. No idea what model it is though.
