new car, px my megane f1 2007

Fast but economical. Thread of OP suggesting 300bhp cars.

FAIL

Keep the Megane, it's a hatchback with 5 Euro NCAP stars, probably even has ISOFIX mountings, its ideal.

does that really matter

i am typing with one hand and baby in other

How can you expect someone to recommend you a car if you won't give us a bit more to work with?

"LOl yeh i need new car cuz baby but fun innit wich 1 shud i getz?"

or

"Looking for a fun newish car, Megane is too small and don't like the interior, budget is £12k, insurance isn't a problem, would prefer something with a hatchback so I can easily get the baby stuff in and out of the boot, was thinking a Passat or A4 what do you guys think?"

'No' what I mean?

You presumed we would know your reasons for changing and budget? When people who post on this forum drive cars ranging from £300 Mondeo's up to £160k super cars and £80k sports saloons.

Half the people come here are 17-21 and need to take into account insurance, running costs etc....

Do more than 20k a year, diesel may be worth looking into etc....

Actually tell us what you are after and what sort of car you want/need and maybe you would get some help

well my first post says

looking for a new car and part ex mine looking for a fast but economical everyday car also enough space for a baby chair .

i add

insurrance not an issue, budget is 12k, 5 door pref, petrol or diesel, must look and ride excellent,

Cheap to run as well, when stuff goes wrong its generally cheap stuff like airmatic pumps at £2000, injection systems at 600 quid etc. Servicing is pretty reasonable as well, budget £500-£1000 each time it goes for a service. But it'll do 35mpg and the ride quality is lovely.

Clearly a good choice.

I am still thinking Z8 along with the original line of thought, but I dont think you can get one for 12k.

Explain why you cant keep the Megane?

BMW Z8 definitely, I have a baby but couldn't stretch to a Z8 so got the Z4 instead. It's annoying because people in Fiestas say I have a poor mans Z8. :D
