I wouldn't say it was overpriced (due to non stock cooling) but ugly maybe lol

I'm wondering how this compares to the vapor-x 5770 in terms of fan loudness... I can't find any reviews at all on this card at the moment.

This might suit me perfectly if the fan is as silent as stated on the description....

hope someone replys once they buy one , my psu is a noisey mofo so dono if it would be any advantage to me buying something like this over my 8800gtx noise wise

I got one of these today (I see it has just appeared in the 'This Week Only' deal - thanks for that!).

I don't have access to any other 5770s to compare it to, so I can't say if it's quieter than any of the other brands. For me, it starts to get noisy* once the fan goes above 50%. Bear in mind though that a) the only fans in my system are the ~900rpm 120mm exhaust, and the 120mm in my Seasonic power supply, and b) I'm putting the 5770 in place of a passive 3450. I'm used to a practically silent system, so any new noise will seem loud to me. :o

* I'm really fussy about noise, so what I consider to be noisy others might consider to be pretty quiet. :p

I have the 5770 Vapor-X, it is indeed completely silent. Even at max load (furmark) it doesn't go over 65c and the fan stays totally silent at 49% speed.

Well if that's the case either these cards are noisier, or I've got a slightly duff fan.

If you skip to 4:10 in this Youtube vid you'll get a good idea of what this card sounds like (even though it's a different make of card in the review). The sound signature is very similar to the Powercolor.

More info for anyone thinking about buying this card: When you leave the fan control on 'auto' in CCC, the fan doesn't seem to ever go below 40% (even though the card's idling at 25 degrees currently).
