Guitar Hero/Rockband - What is the best platform to buy it on?

I have 360 and wii.

Mum just bought dad the guitar hero 5 for the wii, we are all loving it and i'm looking at getting more instruments for it and get beatles rockband.

Before I do is it worth going getting 360 verison instead? Any advantages to the wii or 360?

games are cheaper on the wii, but better DLC/HD support make the xbox worth it imho

You can pick up the 360 original rock band with instruments for very cheap these days. I think toys r us were doing it for 50 quid a while back. For your eyes sake get the 360 version.

Rockband 2, or Beatles on 360. End of.

Personally have struggled to return to the GH series. RB1 & 2 have provided enough, and I have loved the depth of regular DLC.

The DLC available on the 360 (1000+ songs now?) is well worth it.

Don't you need a wii remote for each instrument on he wii? Can get expensive

Graphics are better on the 360 also. Comparing World Tour on the Wii at my mates to my 360 the difference was huge

Wii has limits on DLC with regard to maximum SD card size - go 360!

Rockband 2, Rent RB1 and export, Sacrifice your wallet to the DLC list and have some fun

I'd actually go against the grain here and say that the Wii's fine seeing as you already have the instruments for it.

you can use high capacity SD cards in Wiis with modern firmware, so size shouldn't be an issue, and you don't need a Wiimote per instrument for the Rockband instruments, not sure about GH though. HTH

Does Rockband 2 have better quality instruments? Worth the extra?

Well we have one guitar is all.. I see what you mean though but I'll be honest and say I am not that much of a wii lover while graphics aren't concern with a game like this the wii just annoys the hell out of me for some reason.. I don't know I can't explain it

I think what went to ask was if the wii had an edge over any other console.

The Wii only has significant disadvantages

RB2 instruments never really came out over here as they got merged with The Beatles gear.
