just playing modern warfare 2 when pc went off on its own.

went straight to black screen,

then it tried to start up,

it gave a few starts and stops fans were spinning then finally gave a beep and booted up again.

its done this about 3 times in the last 2 months.

temps are all ok and overclock has been very very stable

dont no what it could be

Difficult to say, try reducing your clock on your graphics for now,
and see how you get on?

I'd like to say that perhaps your PSU is on it's last legs,
and both OC's are causing it to fail.

Lot's of people on here have had problems with Hiper's

An invitation to the Hiper Explosive Club may perhaps be extended to you in the not to distant future?!

whats the warranty on them ?

would a graphics card overclock do it ?

If you've changed any overclock in the last few weeks, I'd be suspicious of it. Likewise if you've just started playing a new game. If you've had months of the same clock + games, though, it's probably not the clock being the problem.

Couldn't say, I don't own one,
Generally 12months??
You should have a warranty card when you bought it.

I'm not saying that it IS psu, I'm just hinting, it could be. :)

i remember the other week i put in a usb 2gb and it went off

Well theres some extra juice being sucked, and it would appear to have been too much. Perhaps coincidence though...

That's a fairly heavy OC on the CPU too, that will put the PSU under more pressure.

Just a thought.

can anyone spec me a good psu cheap as poss

I'm a Corsair man, many are different though.
There's currently one on TWO;

TX 850W

or cheaper yet;

TX 650W

I'd wait for others to comment before you go gun ho' however, it's just my opinion :)

You may be better off posting a new thread, or even having a browse of previous ones, more information for ya.

ok just went offagain this time BSOD with unrecoverable hardware error.

i have just losend the memory timings as i had been messing with them a fewdays ago

Spec of HDD?

If it's just cutting out completely, like your pulling the power out, it would definitely appear PSU related.

If it's freezing, then it could be other.
