Same thing happened a the other night, I don't normally stay awake this long these days, unless I'm stinking drunk but then I doubt I'll notice bird song.

It's not like it's a mild winter either, these birds mean business

I just checked and it actually is a blue moon tonight.


I noticed it being unusually large and low in the sky earlier, with the crisp clear sky it looked wonderful (fap fap).

When the fireworks went off in town, hundreds of bloody bats flew out from under the bridge, everywhere they be.

It is becoming more normal in cities for birds to start chirping away at that time of the day, as the city noise is heavily reduced/silent so no traffic, horns etc so they can be heard and find mates etc.

Birds don't hibernate as far as I know, just get fat and fluffy, well the ones having a bath on our pond do anyhow
