Heads you win, tails... you win. You can beat the toss of a coin

Surely hitting close to 50% means nothing, if they could manipulate the flip to be 75% correct or higher then it could be called a consistent manipulation of the result?

the point of the article is essentially correct, if you can toss a coin so that it always spins at the same RPM, and always catch it the same amount of time after you toss, then the result will always be the same, relative to the side facing up when tossed.

however, extremely large amounts of practice and finesse would be required to consistently achieve a regular result, especially considering that most tossed coins spin at more than 500RPM, i can get a coin to spin at more than 1100RPM on a good toss. :D

so yeah, total non-story from the daily mail!

I usually go for the opposite of the face held before a flip. Don't know why.

I noticed this thirty years ago. I assume it's down to how I toss the coin. Which is why the coin should always be tossed by a party with no interest in the outcome.

I think at football matches they never catch the coin, its always left to fall on the ground.

If its caught the result can be forced by whoever flips and catches it, a pretty common trick

Isnt there a tv show about this? Sounds like the most boring crap ever and they have the ideal host for it, I doubt they'll be catching the coin on it though

He does catch it with his hand and flip it onto the back of his wrist.

*random bod* has won a flippin' brilliant £5000, and I'll JLC you later!...
That almost made me puke on the cat..
