Spec me a pen, something a little upmarket

I use an Aurora Riflessi Silver Fountain Pen that my wife bought me for my Birthday, Its fantastic, best pen I have ever owned, I dont know how much it was, but its good.

Hey I saw how that was made on 'How It's Made' the other day! That is a damn finely made range of Pens they make!

Who needs cufflinks - why not just buy a 'normal' shirt?

Who uses a watch - why not just use your mobile?

It's a piece of functional jewellery. Lots of people clearly buy them otherwise all these specialist companies would shut down. If they're not your thing then fine, but accept that they're of interest to many others.

Being serious now these little suckers below are the best a man can get, they don't smudge across the page like many roller balls do and they do not suffer from digging trenches into the paper like BICs often do.

I currently have these 3 Montblanc's, which are somewhat slimmer and less bling than much of their range. I can't remember how much I paid for them exactly but I seem to recall the pens being around £130 and the fountain close to £200 so again at the less expensive end of the scale and much better than the previous Montblanc set I had.

I also have a couple of Cross pens and a fountain and a few others in draws over the house but I found the Cross pens to thin for my liking. I still use the Cross pen holder for my Montblanc biro and rollerball as it's a simple yet sleek design and fits them perfectly!

I've got a number of Lamy pens and a couple of expensive Mont Blancs. For the money your on about, take a look at the Lamy 2000 series. The blackwood one is really nice, weighty and the body being made of hardwood is a little different to the normal plastic etc.

I've heard good things about the Lamy range actually, personally I'm fairly happy with the not tremendously expensive Waterman rollerball and pencil set I have.

That said I'm fairly useless at actually remembering where they are so I do 90% of my writing/scribbling with cheap drawing pens, which I find great...
