Just a quick question.
Can my insurance company fit second hand parts?.
Long story short my gf stood on my laptop screen, Now from what i remember screens are expensive so it would not be worth renewing it. Its about 4 years old. SO would they be allowed to fit a used one or does it have to be new?

Hopefuly will get a new laptop but not that fussed.

Thanks

Im no expert, but I would say it totally depends upon your insurance policy (read the small print) is it a new for old policy ? What would an "equivalent" laptop spec cost now ? also make sure your excess is not "excessive!" (ie is it worth making a claim ? ).

check the policy, its likely to be new for old if it cannot be repaired.

Yeah they said if they can they will repair it.
The excess is only £60 hence why im going through them.
Like i say if they can repair it fine no loss but would be nice to get a newer laptop.

Yes I agree it would. My Plasma broke a few years ago and I got a new shiney one in its place.
