Avatar 3D @ £11 a ticket

I paid a whopping £3 for my ticket and then an extra 80p I think it was for the glasses. Cineworld + Orange Wednesdays + Student Discount= Win!

Go to the Vue in the Castle Mall, £8.75/ticket and its spectacular in 3D. I'd say the 2D ticket money would be a waste.

Sadly with that, you end up in the Vue in the Castle Mall... ;)
A cinema so badly setup that you can sit behind the rear speakers in some screens. :D

Although, I won't be seeing the 3d version - makes the other half extrordinarilly ill. Even the 3d on C4 did it after about 5 minutes. The Imax and 3d is a big no-no - took seconds before she was out the door and throwing up.

i think i could have enjoyed the film just as much in 2d. i think people are getting just a little carried away with how "amazing" the 3d is. it didn't make or break the film for me....

No not carried away but without the visual extravaganza this film didnt bring anything new or original to the table really

Saw it in Edinburgh at Cineworld and it was only £6 a student ticket, with my own glasses.

Still thought that was abit steep, what warrants the extra cost??

Worth it however, fantastic film.

I saw it at the bradford IMAX for £8 a ticket!

They're only £8 for an adult ticket at our imax cinema... Ripoff merchants:mad:

I've never bought any tickets online for imax before, how do you collect your tickets? On their website it says that you can get them from their "box office"... is that just another word for collecting them at the counter when you go to watch your movie?

almost 40 quid for a family at the imax odeon metrocentre showings :S
chuck in the price of drinks , hotdogs etc and bam 60quid for a trip to the cinema no thanks

Yup, i rang up and booked over the phone, she said collect at the box office. I just went to the main ticket counter and they had them ready and waiting

Thanks for that. I've not been in the National museum in like 10 years! I wonder how much it's changed :p

£11 for a premier seat in the IMAX in 3D here at Manchester with Odeon.

£10 for me in fact as I still have a student card :)

I will pay a tenner to see it in 3D IMAX, but I wouldnt pay for standard 3D, i'd just watch it in "2D".

going to see it tonight in Cineworld

my £13 a month unlimited card + reusing old glasses = £1.50 entry..

I would love to see this in 3D but beloved OH only has 1 eye so it doesn't work for him and I don't want to go without him. Also, it's too long for the kids to see in 3D as the glasses make them fidget, so they saw the 2D version and loved it.

lol i paid 4 pound a ticket for avatar in 3d...
cheap day tuesday + 1.50 off vouchers at vue
£4.20 including glasses at Cineworld on Orange Wednesdays..

..then another £4.80 for a bottled drink and a tub of pringles?!?!

Hmmm I'd be checking the terms and conditions on your card to see if they're allowed to do this. I know it's only £1.50, but it's the principle. :o
