Just before I take the plunge on this case I was wondering if people who have some experience with the case can help with just a couple of questions.

1) I have a spare noctua 120mm fan as was wondering if this would fit ok as a replacement to the fan used over the hard drive bay.

2) The supplied intake fan at the bottom of the case, is this fan suitable enough for air intake alone? Also is the supplied fan here any good or should I change it? Reason is the fan on the side of the case will be used as an intake, but used to cool a h50 so i guess not too much cold air is being blown in.

3) I'll fit 3 120mm fans to the top of the case pushing the hot air out, overall is the air flow in this case good and what's it like regards getting dusty?

4) Any recommendations to some reasonable 120mm fans in black? Led or not i'm not that fussed as long as they are quiet and all uniform.

Thank you:)

Sorry about spelling error in title thread:(

The rear fan placement has holes for 120 or 140mm fans
Re black fans... Black akasa Apaches?
The noctua should be fine ove r the HD as its just a 120mm corsair fan thats there already
Might want to change the bottom fan for something with some more oomph as its only 1 of the 2 intakes

I'll give the Apaches a try thanks:). I'll have a look into changing the 140mm fan also, i'll have a gander on the site.

The lower hd cage can use a 120mm fan the upper hot swap uses 140mm :)

Hmm this is not so great. just looking at the 800d pdf and it also confirms that the fan on the hotswap bay area is a 140mm fan:(
Ok i'm going to need two 140mm fans. problem is this site doesn't seem to have much selection.

Which one of these would be better?

Thanks again:)

Just wondering but does anyone else not see the appeal of this case? For cable routing it looks brilliant but asthetically its very boxy to say the least, has tons of plastic in it (not really a bad thing but for £200 you'd expect mainly aluminium) and by a lot of accounts almost zero airflow. Are people buying it specifically for watercooling?

Me personally the cable routing is excellent, loads of space behind motherboard for thick cables. I like the case layout, the hot swap hard drive bays, the look and style of the case. I like the front panel, the push buttons to open the case sides, the easy access to the dust filter. Over all it's just a real nice case. I can't comment on airflow yet until I use it myself. I won't be water cooling unless you class a H50 as water cooling (which i don't really).
£200 isn't that bad considering i'm upgrading from a case that retails for £120 though admittedly is great for air flow is comparable to a fisher price toy in build quality and design.
For me you can just look at the 800D for 2 mins and know it's a well thought out case.

It does rather seem that most builds in this case are water, but online reviews for the case do not seem overly bad as far as airflow goes.
