Would you rather watch a film on TV or DVD?

I've got a fairly large collection of DVDs but I find that I'm more likely to watch a film when it's broadcast on television.

Right now Channel 4 is showing The Simpsons Movie. I've got it on DVD so I've seen it quite a few times. If it wasn't on TV I'd have no interest in seeing it but because it's on I'll happily watch it. Is anyone else like this?

When something is being broadcast and you already sitting there staring at the box it is laziness that will make you stay and watch the film. I know because I do it all the time!

i hate watching films on tv unless it's the bbc. i can't stand adverts. they're getting longer and longer as the years go by and it's totally ruining my enjoyment of them.

DVD/BD as TV executives, the government and unelected groups deem us not old enough to watch unedited and uncensored films on TV.

Don't mind watching films on the BBC. But on channels with adverts, and especially on ITV where they bung the news in before the last quarter is unacceptable tbh.

I've got tons of DVDs but I can't be bothered to sift through them for something to watch, so if its something on TV even if I own the DVD I'll usually just sit an watch it. It's better when I don't have to pick what to watch. :)

I don't really watch TV in the conventional sense anymore, with the exception of Top Gear. If my TV is turned on, my Xbox will be going through it, or my HTPC.

If I do happen to stumble across one of my favourite films on TV, then I'm more likely to watch it there and then than I am to get out the DVD.
