Went a couple of hours ago to get some electric on our pre payment stick shoved a fiver on it came home said token accepted but never credited us, just been to another shop and payed a tenner this time its work im guessing i can get the fiver reimbursed but how does the happen exactly?

Don't these pre-payment meters have an emergency credit feature ? I'm pretty sure when you go into this pool of credit, the next payment you put into the meter pays off this borrowed credit.

yea we have an electric meter just for the heating which allows us to go -3.00 if you use the emergency.

something nice happened about 6 months ago , the machine at the local shop to charge our machine was broke and we got a guy to come and and use a swipe card that added £5 more emergency onto the machine.

-3.00 + -5.00 = -8.00

but guess what :D our meter has been frozen on -6.92 for 6months :p

free heating ***! i used to spend 15 quid a week on heating before the meter got stuck now i dont worry and just blast the heating whenever.

Yeah, they do actually read the meters too. . . . And will bill you for the discrepancy!
in 7 years no one has been around to read the meter since we moved in.

its for heating only anyway and on a card i'd be suprised if it keeps track of how much has been used.

i once lost the card and had a bloke come around to give us a new one and he just reset the machine so could always just lose another :p
