Like I said, I imagine that to be the slowest time they quoted to be conservative, as they quote 0.2 seconds for a downshift and that is slower than an upshift due to the throttle blip.

It is also entirely possible they have slowed it down a little since the original dsg box as it may have been a source of failures in the early boxes.
 
So did you buy one Mr Spie ? pics etc ? :) Also, being of your stature, someone who has done well for himself, why arent you considering an RS6 :P

Test drive in a few weeks. Will post my findings then :)

RS6 is too big, although very appealing. I already have a big car.
 
he has 2 audi Q7s (i think) and a ferrari 599, amongst other vehicles, i'm sure if he wanted a RS6, he'd get one, but this is for his wife i think.

edit, i didn't see mention of wife after looking back.

I didnt realise he had a Q7 or even two!!, but I know about the Ferrari, lovely car.
 
My mate recently got a white 58 plate S3 Sportback. I wasn't too keen in the photos but its a stunner in real life. I'm sold on the longer 5 door look (on this car anyway).

It's white with a black roof, and white and black leather. Looks awesome.
 
Had a great test drive in an S3 Sportback today with S-Tronic box.

It was niiiiiiice :cool:

Tyres smelt a bit funny after the demo and the salesman's knuckles were a tad white :D

Lovely car. Very composed, great roadholding and steering. Super-stable. Fast but not crazy acceleration. Overall it's a winner.

I'm having one :)

Maybe a new guess thread is in order ? I will leave the decision to make one up to you :)

But I would guess france, there is no way I would live 2 countries away from where my primary massive source of income is based....

What colour/spec are you considering?

Thought about the custom paint job they offer?

Suzuka Grey looks amazing in the flesh.
 
Custom paint option is superb but £2400 extra and + 2 months.

Quite fancy Ibis White with Black Grill and Roof Rails.
 
Main issue with Black Edition is that Piano Black trim inserts are universally hated due to ease of scratching and titanium wheels which are the right colour but not S3 exclusive and not as good looking.
